At the Alliance, we are convinced that the year 2003 will bring us an even greater volume of direct investments as well as unprecedented collaborative efforts among large member companies, small member companies, research institutes and nongovernmental organizations.  We are very extremely optimistic about the Alliance’s projected growth for 2003, which is merely representative of the outstanding participation of its members and supporters such as you and your company. 

Milestones

The Cosmos Alliance is pleased to report the successful completion of direct investments in the Alliance’s bio life science member companies in December 2002 as well as the first joint research program in January 2003.  The Alliance’s press release covering these investments was carried in numerous articles in local papers and bio tech news letters . 

Future Directions

The Cosmos Alliance will host its first annual conference in 2003 for its members and associates.  The annual conference represents the Alliance's commitment to fostering direct relationships among it members and supporters.

The Cosmos Alliance plans to establish the Cosmos Alliance Foundation in 2003 by devoting to it a percentage of the investments made into the Alliance.  The Cosmos Alliance Foundation is designed to promote cutting-edge research in the bio life sciences, support efforts to improve science, mathematics and technology education and literacy around the world, recognize the achievements of young biomedical scientists and physicians, and support innovative solutions to our most pressing public health challenges.  Particular emphasis will be given to bioethics and corporate ethics.
